How You Can Help: 

• Volunteer at the Fostering Christmas Wishes Event on December 14th
• Pick up a STAR to at the Alternative Christmas Event to give a gift to a foster youth
• Come to the next Camp Connect Event and meet some of the wonderful foster youth.
• Keep your ears open for apartment furniture for Just in Time Foster Youth moving out on their own for the first time. Items needed include dinette sets, couches, dressers, side tables, coffee tables, tvs, etc.
• If you have any storage space available that we can use to store furniture, let us know! We rent space for Community Serve Day but we don’t have enough money in our budget to store items year-round but there is always a need with JIT.
• Sign up to help move a Just In Time Foster Youth into an apartment on Community Serve Day on February 23rd.
• When shopping online (especially for the holidays), go to www.livingzoe.com and under “Select A Cause” click on SBPC Foster Youth Ministry/Gretchen Morgan, find your vendor and enter their sight and we get 3-5% donated to our ministry! Vendors include Amazon.com, e-Bay, Barnes & Noble, Target, Macys, and many more.
• Tell your friends about us. We have a new website in progress at http//fosteryouthministrysbpc.com.
• Make a donation anytime. You can send checks directly to Solana Beach Presbytarian Church and write “Foster Youth Ministry” in the memo line OR we will soon have a donation button on our website.
• Consider becoming a Foster Youth Mentor or even a Foster Parent!
• Join our team! We’d love to have you. We meet about once per month.
