It is hard to imagine walking in the shoes of a child separated from his/her parents anytime but especially at Christmas.
The Foster Hope Ministry provides Christmas gifts on the wish lists of 120 local foster children who are dependents of the child welfare system.
They also provide Christmas stockings for 30 young adults who have aged out of the foster care system and are now being mentored by Just In Time for Foster Youth.
These gifts are a tangible expression of the love of Christ and let them know they are valued.
Our tree at the November 24th Market will be adorned with stars, each one containing a gift wish. To take part in the gift giving:
- Select one or more stars from the tree representing a gift that you or your small group wishes to donate (Most gifts are $25 to $50).
- Register the star/gift that you choose at our ACM table.
- Purchase the gift, which must NEW and UNWRAPPED.
- Before dropping off your gift, securely fasten the corresponding STAR to each gift donated.
Please bring gifts to the church patio on Sunday, December 1st or Sunday, December 8th. Our team will check in the gifts. You may also bring the gifts to the church office on weekdays up until the deadline date of Monday, December 3rd. For additional information regarding the gifts or the Foster Kids Party on Dec 14th contact the Gretchen Morgan of the Foster Youth Ministry at: gmorgan@gretchenmorgan.com.
